CES 2009, LAS VEGAS, NV – January 8, 2009 – Axentra® Corporation today announced at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the official release of HipServ for PlugTop Computing. Axentra’s HipServ for PlugTop Computing simply allows a consumer to attach any USB based drive to a PlugTop embedded device to create a powerful network storage media server powered by the HipServ Home Server Platform.

Axentra’s HipServ Home Server is a complete and easy-to-use software platform for saving, showing, syncing and sharing personal media anywhere, anytime. The file and media server offers complete compatibility with the broadest range of consumer devices including computers (Windows and Mac), gaming consoles, digital media players, IP enabled TVs, and Web-enabled mobile devices. With HipServ, users can easily go to one place to organize, find and manage their photos, music, home video, recorded TV and personal documents easily, at home or on the road.

HipServ for PlugTop Computing offers all of the advanced features found in the larger, more expensive Home Server embedded devices and appliances. This “always On”, low energy solution provides a great way for OEMs and service providers to offer a real inexpensive home media server solution to their customers.
